The electoral process in the United States is in limbo, since to date there is no certainty who will be the candidates who will finally go to the 2024 presidential elections.

President Joe Biden a few days ago indicated that his candidacy for a new term as president is due to the nomination of Donald Trump, otherwise he would not have run. And he is really right, the reason that Biden is still a candidate is because it has not been possible to rule out Trump's participation in the presidential race and also that he remains ahead in the polls.

It must also be taken into account that the results of the 2020 elections set a precedent, which is not easy to resolve at this time. In the 2020 elections, Joe Biden officially obtained more than 81 million votes, while Donald Trump reached almost 75 million votes. At this time these figures are difficult to match and it is not possible to handle that number of ballots either. Electoral registration grew by 327,586 new voters for 2020 compared to 2016, while the number of actual voters increased by 21,156,062 million.

The country had not planned 26,058,300 million more ballots than those used in the 2008 elections, which was one of the highest votes in the United States. This forced the unclear handling of the ballots, which was facilitated by the circumstances of COVID-19, a situation that does not seem to exist for these new elections.

Despite the above, the current conditions of President Joe Biden mean that he will not run as a candidate in the next elections. However, that puts Donald Trump in a difficult situation, since he will not be allowed to be the candidate for the Republican Party either.

The disqualification of Donald Trump, through his disqualification through the judicial system, led to the opening of multiple legal cases against him. Indistinctly, each of the cases has been having more and less relevance, according to the development of events. At this time, the one with the greatest chance of success is the one related to the assault on the Capitol on January 6, 2021 and although certain evidence has emerged that shows that it was a false flag setup, it will not prevent it from being used to prosecute Donald Trump.

The move of the Republican candidates, hoping to take second place, indicates that they are on the hunt for Donald Trump to fall by any means possible and the Democrats are strengthening the Governor of California, Gavin Christopher Newsom.

This is how the United States electoral process looks like, less than a year before the 2024 elections
